For the most part, an easy going dance band with good arrangements, several excellent solos. A very danceable band. The only short coming I found was that I thought the CD was too short, only 40 minutes.

This is one of the best Big Band remakes I have heard.
Sounds just like the original orchestras must have sounded live. Most CDs of the Big Bands are just old recordings with poor quality sound.
But this is the best!! Great addition to any collection.
Wish this orchestra had more CDs.

I have been an enthusiastic listener of big band music as well as a musician who performed it for over 50 years. This CD is as good as it gets! It isn't Glenn Miller revisited...again...thank goodness. The titles are all familiar and the arrangements will surely cause you to recall the original recordings, but they are fresh and innovative enough to make you say WOW. I never knew those great big band tunes could sound so good. And if you listen to some of the ballads with someone special, you might want to have the lights turned down low. A great album!

When I first heard this on my Music Channel I had to get onto my feet and "boogie". "Sing, Sing, Sing" ought to be played in every hospital, mental ward and senior setting in the nation. I loved it!
