"This book offers a solution to what I think are two of the major causes of unhappines in people today: the lack of having had positive role models while they were growing up, and living in a society that values competition, physical beauty, and monetary gain over personal and spiritual growth."Many of us were born into troubled or critical environments where every day was an emotional challenge of some sort; our parents or caregivers were wrestling with their own frustrations, unhappiness, and personal issues. And most of us are bombarded daily by the media urging us to be slim, beautiful, highly accomplished, and wealthy. We're pushed to acquire material possessions, to 'get and gain' rather than give. "Quite simply, may of us have never learned how to be truly happy because we haven't seen much of it--at least not much of the genuine kind that eminates from within. "CHOOSE THE HAPPINESS HABIT is a training manual of sorts. First it defines happiness, then takes us step-by-step through a gentle process of creating it for ourselves from the inside out. This is an inspiring, thought-provoking book. Read it, do the exercises, and get happy!" Kathleen Hawkins, Spiritual Strategist(TM) and author of Spirit Incorporated: How to Follow Your Spiritual Path from 9 to 5.

This book has 28 pages of actual reading and the rest of the book is filled with a two page form for each of the 90 days you're expected to fill it out. I feel like I've been duped out of my money for this book.

So many self-help books do nothing but discuss general concepts and theories. This book gave me the tools I need to take specific steps toward a happier life. I'm not going to tell you that the sun came out, the birds started singing and I never had another problem again - but I will say that before I read this book, I never considered myself a very happy person. Now I do.
