Following the principle that we have complete control over our own destinies, Jesse shows you how to take charge of your own quality of life. Changing your life is as simple as changing your attitude, your thinking and the people you associate with. The fundamental building block for achieving your goals is learning how you and your actions affect others. Simply put, how you leave other people feeling and how people perceive you have a profound effect on the quality of your life. This cause-and-effect principle explains how we can help ourselves by learning to help others around us. Constant reinforcement of this key principle as well as conscious awareness of how we make others feel, how they perceive us and how we help them, can together lead us to more successful and fulfilling lives.

"Am I fun to live with?"

Jesse Ferrell is a motivational speaker who has found inspiration from the lives, books, audio cassettes and seminars that other motivational speakers offer. Distilling the best of their ideas and adding his own unique voice, Ferrell presents a game plan for changing your career, improving your current prospects, or simply improving your relationships.

Ferrell's premise is that your personal pathways will be directly affected by "the way you leave them feeling"--in other words, the impact your life has on others: job interviewers, employers, family members, friends, new acquaintances. Ferrell's goal is to help readers banish the negative thinking, depression, and criticism from their emotional vocabulary and replace these with positive energy.

The question you might ask yourself is "Am I fun to live with?" or a similar one: "Am I fun to work with?" When you interact with others, do you cheer them up by being a positive, healthy voice in their lives? If so, congratulations! If not, Ferrell's book brings stories, questions, outlines and topics for reflection that can help you move forward.

As Ferrell explains on page 162, "This is your chance to improve the quality of your life. There is no better time to place the magnifying glass over pivotal points of your character." As you do so, Ferrell argues, you will begin to have a positive impact on those around you, helping them achieve their potential and accomplish their goals.

Readable, well organized and filled with provocative quotes, Ferrell's book is a welcome addition to the ranks of today's motivational literature.

Armchair Interviews says: Lots of good insight offered.

Jesse Ferrell is a successful life coach and CEO of his own consulting agency, JessTalk Speaking Services LLC. Over time, he has held a number of prestigious marketing positions with casinos in the Las Vegas area. After careful reflection, he realized there was a pattern to his success. In his first book, How You Leave Them Feeling: Your Ultimate Key to Personal & Professional Success, Ferrell relates what he believes to be The Seven Essential Laws of Life. From the first law, The Law of Attitude, to the seventh law, The Law of Balance, he explains how all success is based on interactions with others and the impressions we leave behind, which he deems our "personal signature."

How You Leave Them Feeling is a primer for building communication skills. Ferrell relates the power that words hold and how the perceptions of others can make or break a career, regardless of merit. The book is a blueprint for creating a positive approach to life and professional endeavors. Ferrell's words leave the reader motivated, energized, and ready for a fresh start.

Each law has a chapter dedicated to its in-depth analysis, complete with inspirational quotes highlighted in the margins. Each chapter is followed up with action steps, summary points, and personal affirmations for the reader to meditate on daily. Ferrell emphasizes keeping an open mind and being willing to learn at all times, and encourages the reader to develop a daily reading schedule. A list of suggested reading material is included at the back of the book. A forward written by actor Louis Gossett, Jr. attests to the accuracy of Ferrell's observations and explains how Gossett has incorporated the principles of How You Leave Them Feeling into his own life.

While progressing through the book, the reader gets a sense that Ferrell genuinely wants to help people and not just make another buck. This sets the book apart from other self-help methods. Perhaps that is his perfected Seven Law strategy showing through, but it just proves the effectiveness behind the "personal signature" concept. For someone who wishes to maximize their potential, Ferrell has provided an invaluable tool for self-improvement.

Professional speaker and coach, Jesse Ferrell defines the "Seven Essential Laws for Life" in "How You Leave Them Feeling." This book discusses how to deal with difficult people and the impression you make on people.

We all have to deal with thorny people at one time or another. Perhaps it is a person in charge or a co-worker. We have a variety of ways to deal with those dreaded, difficult people, avoiding them is my preferred method. Ferrell suggests we look carefully at how we respond to others. Farrell suggests that the essential building block for accomplishing your aspiration is based on learning how you and your actions influence others. Plainly put, how you leave other individuals feeling and how individuals identify you has a deep consequence on the quality of existence you live. This cause-and-effect theory explains how we can aid ourselves by learning to help others around us and how, through steady re-enforcement of this key belief and a mindful consciousness of how we make others feel, this can lead to a more triumphant and rewarding life.

How we deal with people has a theoretical effect on how we feel about ourselves and the quality of our lives. When you help others there is a chain reaction and can assist us. With practice we will become aware of how you interact with others. This will lead to a more satisfying life for you. According to Ferrell there are seven basic rules for life that will help you build a strong character. The rules will assist you in your communication skills.

"How You Leave Them Feeling" by Jesse Ferrell is written in a concise and organized style. This book teaches the reader to take charge of their own life. Much of it is an attitude change. This book has invaluable information that all would find helpful. The workplace would be much more pleasant if more people would follow his suggestions. I highly recommend this book.

I am the Office Manager of a public refrigerated warehouse and providing excellent customer service is our main tool, and only source used to maintain our customer base. Your new book, How You Leave Them Feeling, has been very inspirational in motivating me to successfully keep my staff, organized and working smarter, not harder. It has certainly been helpful in both my business and personal life.
I am recommending the book as a must read to all my friends and associates. As for me, I plan to purchase many for gift.

Jesse, I am looking forward to your next write. Keep the good work up.

As a college student who will soon have a degree in communicatons I really appreciated the author's emphasis that is put on communictions being one of the 'essential laws of life'. Author Jesse Ferrell clearly defines a way to use effective communication (along with other tools such as attitude, balance, & cause and effect) to lead a successful life, in personal and business relations. Also, the book left me feeling that it is never too late to to look at life in a positive aspect and to approach (and leave) all situations with a good attitude towards oneself and others. Even after I read the book, I find myself looking back to some of the guidelines to inspire me to attain a positive state of mind and attempt to successfully leave people feeling good. I would certainly recommend this book to any person who is interested in how to radiate with positive energy, keep a clear mind in all daily interactons and become a more successful person! Congratulations on a terrific book Mr. Ferrell!
